Southern Alps Media was set up by Wanaka based writer, Tim Brewster, to provide businesses and organisations with a quality focussed writing service.
Tim originally trained and worked as a newspaper reporter after gaining a Diploma in Journalism from AUT ( despite some close calls with the shorthand test)  and over the years has also written freelance articles on outdoor endeavours.
His most recent work has appeared in the Traveller section of the Sydney Morning Herald with other articles published  in North and South magazine’s Four Corners section and Air New Zealand’s inflight publication, Kia Ora.
After completing  certification in professional and technical writing he has written and edited corporate documentation for websites, business documents, proposals and educational use.
With additional training in the rapidly developing area of Search Engine Optimisation ( SEO), he now specialises in  website copywriting for Search Engines and managing website makeovers and start-up projects for small to medium businesses.
An internationally qualified ski instructor, Tim enjoyed the globetrotting life working and skiing in Europe and North America for the last two decades before settling permanently beside Lake Wanaka in New Zealand’s South Island, where he still instructs at Cardona Alpine Resort.
He has also been involved in starting up a successful tourism operation, Ridgeline Adventures and organised multisport events in the Wanaka area.
One of his major goals at the moment is to get his two year-old son Jake to say ‘ski’ when he sees snow.
As well as sole consultancy work, Southern Alps Media’s collaborative projects can involve a selection of web design experts, technical IT wizards and the award winning photography skills of www.alpineimages.co.nz. and photographer Simon Darby.
